Area Development Plans 

Area Development Plans are becoming increasingly popular as a way to identify and resolve issues for a specific area of an installation.  These plans have many advantages over a General Plan or Master Plan.  The ADP is more focused and therefore results in a more in-depth analysis of facilities and occupants.  Other benefits to these studies include a shortened schedule and reduced costs.

Rexroad APG is quickly gaining a reputation for creating the best Area Development Plans in the military planning industry.  This status is growing  through award recognition and past performance references.  Rexroad APG takes a unique approach to these projects.   We employ several iterations of design charrette meetings that encourage participation and buy-in at all levels.  This cycle begins in our own office where each planner participates in the design and review process.  This provides the deepest deliberation of existing conditions and widest consideration of alternatives before the first on-site charrette.  The final charrettes include implementation plans to provide information about the build-out process and cost to support a decision and identify the preferred scenario.

In summary, while a comprehensive plan is critical to the long term vision of an installation, the ADP provides more data and involvement.  The final result is a full description of existing conditions with complete requirements and authorizations.  The plan proposes methodology to best meet current and future requirements, improve space utilization, and create the most effective layout in support of daily operations.
