The 63D Regional Readiness Command, located in Los Alamitos, CA, is responsible for the management of USAR facilities in California, Arizona, and Nevada. As part of the new US Army Reserve Transformation Plan, the 63D RRC will organize into a Regional Readiness Sustainment Command (RRSC). The new RRSC will be in a provisional status in FY07 and fully operational in FY08. The 63D RRSC will be standup at Moffett Field, California and will provide command and control, training, and readiness oversight to units and facilities located in: California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. These actions are part of the overall transformation plan that will better align the Army Reserve with the Army Campaign Plan, modularity transformation initiatives, and the actions specified by the Base Realignment and Closure Act of 2005.
