Rexroad APG Employee Receives LEED AP Accredidation
Rexroad APG is proud to announce that Walker Secker, Planner / Landscape Architect, has been reconized as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional (AP) by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). This professional accredidation recognizes individuals with extensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles as well as a familiarity with LEED requirements, resources and processes. Mr. Secker is applying this knowledge to a variety of projects at Rexroad APG to include a sustainable site design toolkit for the Air Force and several Real Property Master Plans for installations across Japan. “Walker has been a champion for sustainability from day one at Rexroad APG,” said CEO, Barbara Hough. “I am not surprised in the least that he was able to achieve accredidation in one attempt.” Mr. Secker received his first Master’s Degree in Horticulture with an emphasis in landscape planning and design in 2002. In 2007 he added a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture to his curriculum vitae. He is also a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Urban Land Institute as well as the American Planning Association.
